Viña San Esteban is located in central Chile at the mountainous, eastern edge of the Aconcagua Valley, where the distinct geography and climate, together with the delicate work in the winery, deliver a unique character to its wines. Viña San Esteban is oriented to producing fine wines, especially the In Situ wines, and fresh table grapes, principally for export. As part of an important chilean family-owned group of companies founded by Jose and Horacio Vicente, Viña San Esteban has the long term vision and the necessary support to commit to market and brand building with the exclusive InSitu wines. The winery and offices are adjacent to the La Florida and Paidahuen vineyards and estates, both in the town of San Esteban, Region V, Chile. The In Situ vineyards include overhead and vertically-trained vines located both on hillsides and along the banks of the chilean Aconcagua River. Privileged soil conditions and Aconcagua Valley's micro climate, together with quality technological practices in viticulture and winemaking allow us to produce quality grapes and InSitu wines, recognized both domestically and internationally. In the international arena, Viña San Esteban’s In Situ wines are sold in more than 16 countries and have been consistent recipients of prestigious wine challenges around the world. The land surrounding our estate was once home to an even earlier civilization that left signs of its presence in the form of rock drawings at the top of San Esteban's Paidahuen estate. Full of symbolism and mystery, these rock drawings hold a deep significance for the entire San Esteban community. In Latin, In Situ means “in its original place,†and our In Situ brand pays homage to this incredible archaeological site.

Rare and precious In Situ wines, whose production has been carefully provided. Viña San Esteban, matured for years. It is a chilean wine for demanding palates, booked at the connoisseurs, for special occasions, or even served cold, as aperitive. In Viña San Esteban we have chosen an elegant and exclusive package that, at the same time, preserves In Situ scent and exalts its noble properties. In Situ, Laguna del Inca has a gentle attack leads to ripe round tannins, well blended with vanilla, wild berry and tobacco aromas that linger to a long and pleasant finish to one of the finest VSE wines. In Situ, Laguna del Inca is homage to the legend of a beatiful inca princess that died on her Redding day. Taken by grief, her groom buried her at the bottom of a lake at the Andes Mountains, near to the source of the Aconcagua River. Instantly, the Waters turned Emeralds green, forever by the green eyes princess. Hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel tanks, this In Situ wine was skin macerated for 25 days to build body and structure and then aged in french and american oak barrels for 14 months to round out the texture of tannins. After bottling the InSitu wine was aged for at least 6 months before release. In Situ Gran Reserva was crafted with grapes selected from our best Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards. Our goal is to capture the true essence of upper Aconcagua terroir, where soil, climate and vineyard interact in a way to make this a truly unique chilean wine. InSitu Gran Reserva is a blend of grapes from the slopes of Paidahuen hill and from the riverbanks of the Aconcagua River. The conbination of ripe, red fruit and well-structures tannis from the hillside chilean vines, with the soft and elegante tannins from the riverbed estate, give us at Viña San Esteban this complex wine full of subtle aromatic tones and personality to our In Situ line.
